Process

MEETING / CONSULTING - Everything begins with a meeting with the designer to discuss the event or lifestyle image you wish to create. Throwing around ideas. Talking about things you have seen in photos, styles you like, colors that suit you, patterns you like, seeing other dresses in your warerobe, thinking of possilibities. This paid consulting session kicks off the entire process and starts the contracted design to fabrication process. A deposit is place to get the project going. INITAL SKETCHES - After a review of the kick off meeting, Miranda and her team will bring together a set of design sketches to discuss. This is a back and forth series of designs along with the client. Together designs are modified, things are added or removed, sleeves lenghten, shortened or removed, buttons, bows, zippers, snaps, added or removed, images are adjusted together as together you realize your custom product.
FINALIZED SKETCHES - As we get closer to the desired design colors are added, pattern types are discussed, things are tweaked until we approach a look that is just right.
MATERIAL AND PATTERNS - With her extensive network of vendors for materials and patterns the team will seek out those cloths that complete the look and feel of the design. Potential selections are reviewed with the client and some addition applications of a patter/color may be applied to prior sketches.
MEASURING - A complete set of measurements are taken the prepare for the fabriation of the desired product.
MATERIAL AQUISITION - When the material selection is signed off, it is aquired and brought in house for use when ready.
PATTERN FORMS - The sketch is broken down into its component parts that sewen and fitted together results in the fianl product.
SEAMSTRESSES - A team of well experienced seamtresses are put on the job to cut from the patterns and begin the fabrication of your custom design.
DRESS FORM MANEQUINS - Dress assembly first begins on dress form manequins to see everything coming together.
FITTING - A first fitting is now ready and a first review of the nearly finished product. Together adjustment are made to the final product.
DELIVERY - The final fitting of the finishjed product completes the fabrication of your custom dress. Ready to show off. Ready to be the hit of the party. Ready to be noticed. Ready to be asked over and over "who are you wearing". Please let them know - I am wearing MIRANDA.
